Eduard Klug (doctor)

Eduard Klug (born March 27, 1901 in Leitmeritz ; † June 28, 1982 in Bad Godesberg ) was a German concentration camp doctor and SS-Sturmbannführer .

Life

Klug was the son of a photographer with his own photo studio and two branches. From 1920 to 1926 he studied medicine at the University of Prague as well as in Innsbruck and Vienna . He received his license to practice medicine on June 19, 1926. From 1926 to 1929 he was a secondary doctor at the hospital in Leitmeritz . From 1929 he worked as a general practitioner in Leitmeritz. From 1934 he was the hospital doctor of the infirmary. On October 15, 1938, he became a member of the General SS (No. 329 646). On December 1, 1938, he joined the NSDAP (membership number 6 698 307). From February 1 to October 9, 1940, he was all SS troop and camp doctor in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp . From March 15, 1941 to December 31, 1941 as a battalion doctor in the reconnaissance department of the 6th SS Mountain Division "North" . From January 22, 1942 to June 30, 1944, worked in the Welfare and Supply Office of the Waffen SS in Düsseldorf . After British captivity and internment, he lived in Lüdenscheid on April 9, 1947 and worked there as a general practitioner.
