Eduard Schmurr

Eduard Schmurr (born January 19, 1906 in Impflingen ; † September 26, 1964 there ) was a German farmer and politician ( FDP ).

Life

Schmurr was a farmer. He joined the NSDAP in 1931 and had been a member of the local council since 1933. From 1934 he was the local farmer's leader in Impflingen, district chairman of the Reichsnährstand, and from 1938 he was also an honorary department head at the district farming community in Landau and an assessor at the agricultural court in Landau and Koblenz.

On October 27, 1948, the verdict of the Neustadt Chamber of Justice was as follows: a minor, 2 years probation, loss of eligibility and a ban on political activity. In 1952 he became mayor of Impflingen. In 1953 he joined the FDP and became deputy chairman of the FDP district association Landau-Land. For the FDP he was a member of the Landau district assembly . In 1963 he was elected to the fifth state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate , to which he belonged until his death the following year. In the state parliament he was a member of the border region committee and the viticulture and wine industry committee. Berthold Heitz became a successor in the state parliament .
