Eduard Tennmann (born July 17 . Jul / 29. July  1878 greg. In St. Petersburg , Russian Empire ; † 19th February 1936 in Tartu , Estonia ) was an Estonian theologian .

Tennmann was the first Estonian theology professor at Tartu University from 1919 until his death in 1936 . He is the author of the most important reviews of ecumenical development in Estonia. Because of his personal relationships with the leader of the “ Life and Work ” movement, Archbishop Nathan Söderblom , Tennmann began to support the ideas of “ Social Gospel ” in Estonia together with Theodor Tallmeister .
