Eduard Zimmermann (heraldist)

Eduard Zimmermann (* 1874 in Augsburg ; † 1951 ) was a German heraldist and senior civil engineer.

Zimmermann was born the son of an artist. In Munich he had a professorship at the Royal Building Trade School . Through intensive and thorough study of heraldry, he created around 100,000 index cards on the coats of arms of the Bavarian region.
