Eduardo Chapero-Jackson ( Seminci 2012).

Eduardo Chapero-Jackson (* 1971 in Madrid ) is a Spanish film director .

He was born to a Spanish father and an American mother. After studying photography and literature at the School of Visual Arts in New York and film at the Parsons School of Design and New York University from 1989 to 1996 , he worked for some time as a film producer in Spain for the production company Sogecine and was thus a co-producer with Alejandro Amenábars The Others (2001), among others .

As a director he made a name for himself in 2005 with the short film Contracuerpo , for which he was nominated for the Spanish Goya film award as “best short film”. In this film he tells of a young woman's obsession with her own body. Another short film by the director, Alumbramiento , won the UIP Prize at the 2007 Venice Film Festival and the European Film Prize . This is about a woman who supports an elderly family member in her death.

In 2012 he was nominated for the Goya as best young director for his directorial work in the fantasy film Verbo .
