The Edward Cook Memorial Stone ( English Edward Cook's Commemorative Stone ) is a monument in Warmbad in the region ǁKaras Region in Namibia . The stone commemorating Edward Boyer Cook was proclaimed a National Monument of Namibia on May 17, 1978 .
The memorial stone is at the place where Cook's grave is believed to be. It was erected in 1929 by the Methodist Church in memory of the English missionary . Cook is considered to be the founder of Warmbad, the former Nisbett's Bath , the first Wesleyan mission station in Namaqualand .
