Edward Glover
Edward Glover (born April 23, 1885 in Emsworth , Pennsylvania , † November 2, 1980 in Crown Point , Indiana ) was an American track and field athlete who was successful as a pole vaulter at the beginning of the 20th century .
He was able to place twice in the US national championships:
- 1905 second with 11-6
- 1907 third with 12-0
However, the year of his greatest success was 1906, when he jumped 3, behind the French Fernand Gonder (gold with 3.50 m) and the Swede Bruno Söderström (silver with 3.40 m) at the Olympic Intermediate Games in Athens in 1906 . 35 m BRONZE won.
After his career, Glover became a lawyer at Crown Point, where he also served twice as mayor.
