Edwin Genung

Edwin Genung ( Edwin Bernard "Eddie" Genung; born February 15, 1908 in Seattle ; † May 2, 1986 in Riverside , California ) was an American middle -distance runner who had specialized in the 800-meter distance .

At the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he finished fourth with his personal best of 1: 51.7 minutes.

From 1930 to 1932 he was three times in a row US champion over 800 m or 880 yards . Starting for the University of Washington , he became NCAA champions over 880 yards in 1929 .
