Edwin Rolando Tenorio Montaño (born June 16, 1976 in Esmeraldas ) is a former soccer player from Ecuador , who was mostly used in defensive midfield and was known for his willingness to work.

Tenorio began his career with the Ecuadorian club Sociedad Deportiva Aucas , where he played until 1999 and where he returned twice briefly in 2000 and 2001. In between he played in 1999 for the Bolivian club Club Jorge Wilstermann and in 2001 for CD Veracruz from Mexico. From 2002 to 2006 he played for the Ecuadorian club Barcelona SC Guayaquil . On December 20, 2006, he was suspended for two months from championship and international matches after he had actively participated in a fight between players from LDU Quito and Barcelona SC following the last game of the season a few days earlier. For the 2007 season he moved to LDU Quito. With his team he won the Ecuadorian championship that year. In the 2008 season he played for Deportivo Quito and won the championship again. After the first half of the 2009 season, he moved to Deportivo Pereira in Colombia in the summer of 2009 .

On October 14, 1998 Tenorio made his debut in the Ecuadorian national soccer team . Since then he has played in 74 international matches (as of March 2007). He was one of the most experienced players in his country who were nominated for the 2006 World Cup ; here he was used in all four games of his team. In qualifying for the World Cup, Tenorio took part in 14 games. Edwin Tenorio was previously at the 2002 World Cup and was there in two of three games on the field. He also starred in the squad of his country in the Copa America in 2004 and the 2007 Copa America .
