Efren Torres
Efren Torres (* 29. November 1943 in Jalisco , Mexico ; † 25. February 2010 ) was a Mexican boxer in the flyweight .
Professional career
In 1959 he began his professional career successfully. On February 23, 1969 he boxed against Chartchai Chionoi for the WBC World Championship and won by technical knockout in round 5. He defended this belt in November of the same year against Susumu Hanagata by unanimous decision and lost it on March 20 of the following Year in rematch at Chionoi on points.
In 1972 he ended his career.
