Chartchai Chionoi
Chartchai Chionoi (* 10. October 1942 in Bangkok , Thailand ; † 21st January 2018 ) was a Thai boxer in the flyweight .
Professional career
At the end of December 1966 he competed against Walter McGowan for the WBC world title and won by technical knockout in round 9. He defended this belt twice and lost it on June 8, 1968 to Eduardo Raton Mojica on points.
However, he won this title again by a unanimous victory on points against Bernabe Villacampo in November of the same. This time he lost it in his first title defense to Efren Torres on February 23, 1969.
In May 1973 he also captured the vacant WBA world championship belt when he beat Fritz Chervet by technical knockout in round 5. On October 18 of the following year he lost the title to Susumu Hanagata by TKo in round 6.
