Bengt Ingvar Egon Jönsson (born October 8, 1921 in Malmö , † March 19, 2000 ) was a Swedish football player and coach.

career

Egon Jönsson played for Malmö FF in the Allsvenskan . With the club he was four times Swedish champion. After the end of his active career, he became an assistant coach at the club. In addition to winning six championships, reaching the final in the 1978/79 European Cup was the greatest success.

Egon Jönsson made 22 international appearances for the Swedish national team . He took part in the 1950 World Cup and was third in the national selection.
