Architecture and history
The former Hotel zur Post was built in 1912 according to plans by the Darmstadt architects Markwort and Seibert . The facade of the former Hotel zur Post is similar to that of the former train station hotel .
Both buildings were to be connected with a stylistically similar intermediate wing. This intermediate wing - the former Miele house - was only completed in 1928.
Stylistically, the former Hotel zur Post belongs to the traditionalism of the turn of the century .
