Ueli Lüthi (born October 31, 1943 ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player who was active in the EHC Kloten in the National League A in the 1960s and 1970s . He has been a painter since around 1985 .

Career

Lüthi was a member of the first Kloten master team from 1967 . He played a total of 12 years for EHC Kloten and made 301 games for the club. There were also a total of 103 international matches for the Swiss national ice hockey team . Among other things, it was used at the B World Championships in 1965 , 1966 and 1971 . The latter was held in Switzerland at home; the Swiss selection managed to return to the A group by winning the tournament.

In addition, Lüthi was nominated for the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo , but was not used during the tournament. For this he played at the following world championships in 1972 (relegation to the B group) and 1973 (relegation to the C group).

At the side of his brother Peter Lüthi and his cousin Heinz he was the top scorer in the 1971/72 season, scoring a total of 25 goals and 11 assists in 26 games.

After the end of his career, he took over his father's carpenter's workshop. In his free time he occupied himself with drawing and painting and later turned his hobby into his profession. He moved to Maloja with his wife in 1995 and now lives in Borgonovo in Bergell . His works have so far been shown in over 18 exhibitions, including in the Reppischhallen in Dietikon .
