history

The place is first mentioned in 1084. In 1094 Landold and his son Hug donated property in Ehestetten, including the church, to the Sankt Georgen monastery , which had the castle (castrum) destroyed. The place was part of the County of Hohenberg and the rule of Werenwag .

In 1444, Eberhard von Hörnlingen, the owner of the Werenwag estate, pledged the town to Renhard von Melchingen, a citizen of Ebingen, and from him in 1453 to the city. The Sankt Georgen monastery sold the goods to citizens of Ebingen in 1416 and gave the church fee to the city in 1533 . At that time only the church, sacristan's house and mill were left.

Today the church is used as a barn.
