The Ehlers Knob is a small, icy and prominent hill that towers in the western part of the north coast of Dustin Island off the Eights coast of the west Antarctic Ellsworthland .
He was photographed during helicopter flights from the icebreaker USCGC Burton Island as part of the United States Navy research trip into the Bellingshausen Sea in February 1960. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1968 after Robert C. Ehlers, field research assistant at Byrd Station between 1966 and 1967.
