Badges of honor for those injured on duty

The badge of honor for injured in service was an award of the Kingdom of Italy , which in 1934 by decree by King Victor Emanuel III. was donated. The award was given to all those Italian military personnel who suffered damage, wounds or died in the course of their service.

The oval badge shows in its lower part the part of an eagle's wing (Luftwaffe) in front of an anchor (Navy). Above the fasces on the left and a sword (army) on the right . The inscription MVTILATO / IN SERVIZIO(Mutilated on duty) can be read between the fasces and the sword . The royal coat of arms is emblazoned above the inscription.
