The honorary badge for Hessian fire brigade musicians is usually awarded for many years of active activity in a music group of a fire brigade in the State Fire Brigade Association of Hesse. In individual cases, the award is also based on the appreciation of many years of service to the fire service music industry.
layout
The badge of honor for Hessian fire brigade musicians consists of a paw cross in the colors red and white with a silver plate and four flame symbols on which the coat of arms of Hesse and a lyre are depicted. The reverse bears the inscription "FOR MERIT - LANDESFEUERWEHRVERBAND HESSEN eV". The badge has a size of 45 × 45 mm and hangs on a red and white ribbon.

Award
The Honorary Badge for Hessian Fire Brigade Musicians is awarded by the President of the State Fire Brigade Association of Hesse . On awarding a will certificate issued. A corresponding strap buckle will also be handed out with the award .

The State Fire Brigade Association of Hesse is one of 16 state fire brigade associations in the German Fire Brigade Association . It was founded on April 21, 1954 in Frankfurt am Main . The association is the amalgamation of 32 city and district fire brigade associations , which are divided into three district fire brigade associations . Almost 500,000 members are united in the Hessian fire brigades. The largest aid organization in Hesse has around 75,000 active firefighters and around 27,600 youth firefighters in more than 2,600 volunteer fire brigades , six professional fire brigades and 57 works and company fire brigades . Almost 7,000 Hessian musicians are organized in 184 fire brigade music groups.
