The Eidepollen is about six kilometers long fjord in the municipality Senja in the Fylke (Province) Troms og Finnmark , northern Norway .
The fjord
It begins in the west at Vågsfjord , extends east to the village of Eid (Stonglandseid), after which it is named, and almost completely separates the Stongland peninsula (Stonglandet) from the main part of the island of Senja in the north.
The two-kilometer-wide confluence with the Vågsfjord lies between the Dragøyskjær archipelago in the north and Halsvær in the south, both with beacons . On the north side of the entrance are the two small villages Dragøy and Frovåg, opposite them is the settlement of Hals (Stonglandhals) on the southern bank. In the interior of the fjord there are only scattered settlements. The fjord tapers gradually to the east and is only about 200 m wide at its flattening end at Stonglandseid.
Stonglandseid
Stonglandseid has about 200 inhabitants and is located on and on a flat, only 350 m wide isthmus , which separates the Eidepollen from the Tranøyfjord in the east. From Stonglandseid, the provincial road Fv860 leads east along the south bank from Senja to Silsand and to Gisundbrua on the mainland, the Fv221 also along the south bank of Senja to the west, and the Fv223 and a local road to the south and south-west to the Stongland peninsula,
