Eileen Power

Eileen Edna Le Poer Power , married Postan, (born January 9, 1889 in Altrincham , Cheshire , † August 8, 1940 in London ) was a British economic historian . In 1931 she became professor of economic history at the London School of Economics , where she had worked since 1921, and in 1940 professor of economic history at Cambridge University . She founded Economic History Review in 1927 .

Together with E. Denison Ross she edited the collection of important travelogues and journeys of discovery The Broadway Travelers .
