The BSG Einheit Spremberg was a German company sports association from Spremberg , whose football department existed from 1945 to 1956.

Unit Spremberg was founded in 1945 under the name SG Spremberg-Slamen . The Brandenburgers appeared in high-class East German football shortly after they were founded. For several seasons they played in the Brandenburg state football class , which at that time was the top division of the SBZ alongside other state classes . In 1949 the name was changed to Einigkeit Spremberg , from 1950 the city administration Spremberg supported the team as a sponsoring company , and the BSG, like all GDR administrative associations, was run under the name Einheit .

On a sporting level, the Spremberg unit became the Brandenburg soccer champion in the 1950/51 season and was promoted to the GDR league , which was held for two seasons. If a secured midfield position could be achieved in the opening season, the BSG rose in the following year as bottom of the table with the Thuringian SG Dynamo Erfurt and activist Kaiserode in the third-class district league . After a temporary fall into the district class, the football department of Einheit Spremberg was transferred to Hoyerswerda in 1956 due to financial difficulties and was connected to the lower class BSG activist Schwarze Pump . Black pump also took over the Spremberger district league pitch. The BSG Turbine Spremberg was founded in 1958 to ensure the continuation of football in Spremberg .
