History and Development

The overall architectural concept of the building, the forecourts and green areas, as well as the facade and the roof wave, originate from the Italian architect Massimiliano Fuksas . His project for the Europark emerged as the winner in an architectural appraisal process that was carried out in early 1994. The opening took place after a 30-month construction period on September 24, 1997. The Europark was expanded from the beginning of 2004 to autumn 2005. The “Europark II”, also planned by Massimiliano Fuksas, was opened on October 7, 2005 after a construction period of 21 months.
