SES Spar European Shopping Centers is an independent group company within the SPAR Austria Group. The company was founded in 2007 and is based in Salzburg . The company is the largest developer, builder and operator of large shopping centers in Austria and Slovenia . It currently operates around 30 shopping centers in six European countries.
According to SES, the approximately 2,000 shops in the shopping centers generated gross sales totaling EUR 2.83 billion in 2019.
history
The company was founded by SPAR (Austria) in mid-2007 to bundle the activities in the shopping center business area and in the area of large-scale retail properties. Since April 2008, the company has had its own headquarters on the outskirts of Salzburg with around 90 employees.
Areas of activity
The main tasks of the company are the development, construction, leasing of the shop space and the operation of the shopping centers. A special area of the company is facility management , which not only looks after the shopping centers but also the Austrian Interspar and Maximarkt stores . SES also handles the construction and leasing of shop space for the hypermarket subsidiary of SPAR Austria, Interspar. Development, construction, center management and facility management are also offered and successfully implemented by SES as services outside the group.
