Zimbapark, to the left of the Lünerseepark

The Zimbapark is in the south of Vorarlberg located shopping center , just off the motorway exit "Bludenz / Bürs" from the Rhine Valley / Walgau motorway A14. With 50 shops, 38,326 m² of floor space and a sales area of 17,767 m², it is the largest shopping center in the conurbation around the district capital Bludenz and the second largest in Vorarlberg after the Messepark in Dornbirn .

Origin and history

Zimbapark was created in 2001 at a long-standing successful Interspar location. In addition to the motorway connection, the location at the junction of the five valleys (Walgau, Klostertal, Montafon, Brandnertal, Großes Walsertal), as well as the good accessibility by public transport, characterized the location for the development of a large shopping center.

Naming

The Zimbapark was named after the Zimba , a 2643  m high mountain on the Vandanser Steinwand .

Development

The Zimbapark is located on the north-eastern edge of the municipality of Bürs on the border with the Alpine town of Bludenz and is comprehensively developed through this location. The “Bludenz / Bürs” autobahn exit enables access both from the direction of Arlberg / Innsbruck and from Bregenz. Bludenz train station is in the immediate vicinity and can be reached by train from Vorarlberg, Tyrol and Switzerland, as well as with the regional bus routes 81, 90, 73 and 76. The regional bus route 81 stops right in front of the building.
