Eisbach (Koenigswinter)
Eisbach is a district of the city of Königswinter in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia . It belongs to the Oberpleis district and mainly to the Wahlfeld district ; on December 31, 2019, it had 212 residents.
Eisbach is named after the Eisbach of the same name , a tributary of the Pleisbach , which runs northwest of the district and then crosses it. The Eisbachtal with secondary depths is designated as a nature reserve. The closest localities include Thelenbitze in the north, Pützstück in the east, Frohnhardt in the south, Oberpleis in the southwest and Wahlfeld in the northwest.
The Eisbacher Marienkapelle is a single-nave brick building and dates back to 1871. In 1961 it was expanded and rebuilt. As a monument under monument next to the chapel two are roadside crosses from the years 1736 and 1867 (extended in 1961) and a dated to 1603 grave Cross (→ list of monuments in Koenigswinter ).
