Just two years later, after completion, the exhibition rooms were presented to the public. On April 25, 1994 the association "Waldviertel Railway Museum Sigmundsherberg" was founded. Chronicle of the Sigmundsherberg steam production

1880 or 1881 Lokomotiv was remise built by the construction of a 1912 turntable has been added. As early as 1950, five years after the Second World War , the steam extraction system had 117 employees. In 1959 some diesel locomotives of the 2050 series were stationed. As the diesel locomotives became more and more popular over time , they also displaced steam locomotives from Sigmundsherberg. As a result, in 1970 and 1971 the train support center was restructured into a locomotive center, which was closed two years later, on June 1, 1973, including all workshops. The diesel locomotive of the 2043 series and the VT 5047 have been used on the Kamptalbahn since 1987 . A year later, in 1988, the Pulkautalbahn was closed. In 2000 there was the anniversary celebration of 120 years of Heizhaus Sigmundsherberg . On August 24th and 25th 2013 the 120th anniversary of the Pulkautalbahn and the 25th anniversary of the VT 5047 series on the Kamptalbahn were celebrated.
