Eisige Welten is a shortened, five-part ZDF version of the seven-part documentary film series (original title: Frozen Planet ) by the BBC , Discovery Channel and The Open University , which presents a comprehensive portrait of the polar regions of the world. The series was broadcast on ZDF at the turn of the year 2011/2012. The uncut series with seven parts can be found on DVD and Blu-ray Disc.
