Ekkehard Rumpf (born August 26, 1965 in Pirmasens ) is a Hamburg politician ( FDP ).

Life

Rumpf left the Herzog-Johann-Gymnasium in Simmern / Hunsrück in 1984 with the Abitur. From 1985 to 1986 he did civilian service with the German Red Cross and trained as a paramedic . From 1986 to 1992 he studied law in Giessen . He completed his legal clerkship from 1993 to 1995 in Brussels, among other places . He works as a lawyer in his own law firm in Neuenfelde .

Ekkehard Rumpf is the son of the former Rhineland-Palatinate State Secretary and FDP member of the Bundestag Wolfgang Rumpf . He has three children.

Rumpf has been a member of the FDP since 1995. Until 2015 he was district chairman of the FDP in Hamburg-Harburg . From October 2001 to March 2004 he was a member of the citizenship of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg . As a member of the state parliament , he was a member of the European, environmental, constitutional, and building and transport committees. During his mandate, he mainly campaigned for an amendment to Hamburg's electoral law and the Hamburg dog ordinance.
