Ekkehard Wenger

Ekkehard Wenger (born May 29, 1952 in Stuttgart ) is a German economist .

Life

After graduating from the Wagenburg-Gymnasium in Stuttgart in 1971 , Wenger studied physics and economics in Stuttgart and Munich . In 1986 he completed his habilitation with the work Voluntarily agreed and enforced organizational rules - an analysis of their effects, illustrated using the example of employment relationships in Munich. From 1987 to 2018 he was professor of business administration, banking and credit management at the University of Würzburg . He then left Germany.

Outside of academic operations, Wenger has become known in particular as a representative of small shareholders at general meetings of large German listed stock corporations and as a result of criticism of company management there. He is considered a "controversial lawyer for small shareholders" and a "general meeting fright".
