The Elektronik Demokrasi Partisi , abbreviated EDP, eP or e-Parti, is a political party in Turkey that advocates direct democracy in the form of e-democracy .

It was founded on November 26, 2014 by Emrehan Halıcı , MP for Ankara in the Turkish Grand National Assembly . Halıcı previously resigned from the largest opposition party and oldest party in the country, the Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi (CHP; Republican People's Party) under Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu . Elektronik Demokrasi Partisi highlights the democratic deficit under the ruling Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi (AKP; Party for Justice and Recovery), as well as the lack of intra-party democracy both in the AKP and in the opposition parties CHP and the far-right Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi (MHP ; Party of the Nationalist Movement).
