The list of political parties in Turkey provides an overview of the current landscape in Turkey. It lists parties that were newly founded or re-established after 1954, which continue their activities officially until today or have been banned.

Illegal active parties

In addition to nationalist or Islamist groups, illegal, left-wing party structures have been developing since the early 1970s - many of them armed.

There are also currently some organizations that see themselves as parties, most of which fulfill the criminal offense of “armed gang” in Turkey and are prohibited. This includes the following in particular:
