The Yeşiller Partisi ( German  Green Party , also Yeşiller for short - the Greens ) was a political party in Turkey .

A green party of the same name was founded in 1988, but dissolved again in 1994. Twenty years after its first founding, the party was re-established as the 57th in Turkey on June 30, 2008 after years of preparation (since 2002) - following the traditions of 1988. Turkey's Greens had local groups and initiatives in Istanbul , Ankara , Izmir , Bursa , Tekirdağ and Antalya .

The Greens were known as the Greens of Turkey ( Yeşiller Türkiye in Turkish ) before the party was founded. The party held its first general congress on June 6, 2010.

One of the founding members is the musician İlkay Akkaya , a prominent member is Birsel Lemke .

The party merged on November 25, 2012 with the left-wing Eşitlik ve Demokrasi Partisi to form Yeşiller ve Sol Gelecek Partisi .
