The Hür Dava Partisi (short name: Hüda Par ; Kurdish پارتیا دۆزا ئازادی Partiya Doza Azadî , Turkish and Kurdish for "Free Cause Party") is a party founded in Turkey on December 19, 2012 by Sunni Muslims , mainly of Kurdish origin . It is said that she represents the ideology of the illegal organization Hezbollah , which was dismantled in 2000 . The founding chairman Mehmet Hüseyin Yılmaz (born 1967) represented many of the Hezbollah accused as a lawyer in Diyarbakır and was chairman of the Mustazaf Der association from 2007 until the ban in 2010 (in German "Association of the Oppressed").

development

After the killing of the leader of the Ilim wing of Hezbollah, Hüseyin Velioğlu in Beykoz (Istanbul) on January 17, 2000, the armed part of the organization was dismantled in large-scale police operations. In 2003 supporters of Hezbollah founded the association “Mustazaf Der” in Diyarbakır (the full name Mustazaflar ile Dayanışma Derneği means “Association of solidarity with the oppressed”). The center of the party was in Diyarbakır, but such associations were also founded in İstanbul , Mersin , Konya and Adana . They organized demonstrations against both the Muhammad cartoons and for the Prophet's birthday (known as Mawlid an-Nabi ). A demonstration in Diyarbakır in 2006 is said to have taken part in 150,000 people. Often the actions were organized in the name of the Peygamber Sevdalıları (Lovers of the Prophet) platform .

Various books have been published by the movement since 2004. Two magazines, Gönülden Gönüle Damlalar (drops from heart to heart) and Inzar (announcement) are published in Istanbul and a magazine Müjde (happy message) is published in Basel (Switzerland). The movement operates two bookshops in Elazığ and Batman .

On April 20, 2010, the association was banned by a court in Diyarbakır. The Court of Cassation confirmed the ban on May 11, 2012. The move was justified by the fact that the aim of the association with ties to Hizbullah was to introduce Sharia law.

On December 17, 2012, an application was made to the Interior Ministry to establish the Free Cause Party . On January 9, 2013, the opening of the party's headquarters in Ankara was announced. Within a very short time, offices of the party were opened in many provinces and district cities in Turkey.

aims

The party works for the recognition of the Kurds and the Kurdish language in the constitution of Turkey , instruction in the mother tongue and the abolition of the 10% hurdle in the electoral system of Turkey . Similar to the BDP, Hüda Par advocates decentralization of power and the strengthening of regional administration. The following points are named as principles and goals in the party's program:

  • redefine the state and politics,
  • not society has to be adapted to the system, but the system has to be adapted to the religious values of society,
  • the fundamental rights and freedoms of humans must be recognized in the real sense,
  • Obstacles to the right to faith and prayer must be removed,
  • the Kurdish question must be resolved
