Gaskell has been participating in FIS and AFP World Tour competitions since 2014 . In the 2014/15 season she won the Canadian Open Tour in Calgary and Silver Star in slopestyle and in the 2015/16 season in Whistler and Calgary. In February 2017 she won the Slopestyle competition at the Aspen Snowmass Open and made her debut in Québec in the Freestyle Skiing World Cup , which she finished in 16th place in the Slopestyle. After finishing fourth in slopestyle at the 2018 Junior World Championships in Cardrona , she won her first World Cup there in Big Air in September 2018. This was followed by three top ten finishes, including third place in the Big Air in Québec and thus won the Big Air World Cup. At the season highlight, the 2019 World Championships in Park City , she finished 15th in Big Air. She was seventh in Big Air at the Winter X-Games 2019 in Aspen and sixth in Big Air at the X-Games Norway 2019 .
