Eleonore Klee

Eleonore Klee (* 1901 in Leipzig , † 1994 in St. Florian ) was a German - Austrian bookbinder and book restorer .

Live and act

After attending the State Academy for Graphic Arts and Book Trade in Leipzig, Eleonore Klee gained many years of professional experience in handicraft bookbinding and restoration jobs for the Leipzig Imperial Court.

In 1944 she was entrusted with the restoration of the book collection in the Florian Monastery in her own bookbinding workshop in the Meierhof of St. Florian Monastery (today Hall 9 of the Upper Austrian Fire Brigade Museum St. Florian ). She received orders and a. also from the Upper Austrian State Museum .
