Eleuteten

The Eleutetes ( Latin Eleuteti ) were a Celtic tribe who lived on the banks of the Aveyron River in the Roman province of Gallia Aquitana in what is now the Aveyron department in southern France . They are sometimes referred to as the sub-tribe of the Kadurkers under the name Eleuteti Cadurci .

The Arverni prince Vercingetorix had 52 BC. BC can also induce the Eleuteten to participate in the all-Gaulish war . Together with other southern Gaulish tribes, under the leadership of the Arverni, they formed a contingent of around 35,000 warriors in the relief army for Alesia .
