Elfa International AB is an international company that is one of the world's leading providers of storage solutions (sliding doors and shelf systems).

The company was founded in Stockholm , Sweden in 1948 by the Swedish engineer Arne Lydmar .

The parent company consists of eight companies in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, France, Poland and Germany. The headquarters of the Elfa Group with management level as well as finance and sales departments are located in Malmö , Sweden. The chairman of the board is Per von Mentzer.

The group of companies generates around 900 million Swedish kronor and employs more than 600 people. (As of December 2015)

Products

The group includes the three brands Elfa, Lumi and Kirena. The product range includes shelving systems made of steel and wood, basket systems and custom-made sliding doors. The range is mainly sold in home and craft stores and through furniture stores in more than 25 countries.

The products are manufactured in the company's four production facilities in Västervik , Sweden, Mullsjö , Sweden, Lahti , Finland and Koszalin , Poland.

The Container Store (TCS) has been a shareholder in Elfas since 1999 - the largest retail chain in the USA in the storage solutions segment. TCS is listed on the NYSE. The group employs a total of around 6,000 people and has sales of over US $ 750 million.

Elfa Germany GmbH

Elfa Deutschland GmbH is the German sales company of Elfa International AB based in Rheda-Wiedenbrück in the Gütersloh district . The products are sold in Germany in shops for home and handicrafts as well as in furniture stores such as Porta Möbel , XXXLutz and Dodenhof .
