Mullsjö is a place ( Tatort ) in the Swedish province of Jönköpings län and the historic province of Västergötland . It is also the capital of the municipality of the same name .

The place is on the north bank of the lake Mullsjön, which gave the place its name. A small part of the village is on the territory of the neighboring municipality of Habo to the east (2 inhabitants on 2 hectares , as of 2015).

The lake was first mentioned in 1481 as Mulsiøø , although the origin of the name is unknown.
