Life

In 1949 Elfi Zuber met the timber merchant Walter Zuber, whom she married in 1953 and with whom they had a daughter in 1958. Zuber founded the Institut Bavaricum in 1973 , which offers city tours and also trains city guides. Furthermore, since 1974 there was a sponsoring association for the institute under the title “Förderclub Bavaricum” (previously “Club Bavaricum”), which supported the work of the institute and had around 1,300 members. The Förderclub Bavaricum e. V. expired at the end of 2013 and, according to the association's statutes, had to stop its activities in 2013.

The Bavaricum Institute has published several books on Munich's local history. The institute was located in the Münchner Straße Tal in the center. In 2013, the classrooms in the valley had to be closed due to rent increases. Elfi Zuber, however, continues from Gröbenzell near Munich and offers a new program.
