Eligius Tambornino (born October 25, 1986 in Chur ) is a Swiss cross-country skier and biathlete . He mainly starts in the sprint discipline.

Tambornino competed in junior races until 2006. He has been taking part in the cross-country skiing world cup since 2006, where he predominantly placed in the midfield. He achieved the best overall World Cup result in the 2011/12 season with 68th place in the overall World Cup ranking and 28th place in the sprint ranking. He ran his first World Cup race in February 2006 in Davos , which he finished with 59th place in the sprint. In December 2007 he got his first World Cup points in Rybinsk with the 27th place in the sprint. At the Swiss cross-country skiing championships in 2008 in Glaubberg he was champion in the sprint. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec in 2009 he came in 21st place in the sprint. He reached 49th place in the sprint and eleventh place in the team sprint at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver . He achieved his best position so far in an individual World Cup race in December 2011 in Düsseldorf with eighth place in the sprint. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 2013 in Val di Fiemme , he finished 15th in the team sprint.
