Elisabeth Hamann

Elisabeth Hamann (born January 2, 1913 in Hindenburg ; † January 15, 2001 in Kempten (Allgäu) ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Hamann brought her A-levels in 1933 in Bytom from, studied medicine in Breslau , graduating with the state examination and doctorate. This was followed by training at the university clinics in Breslau and Berlin . From 1940 to 1947 she worked as a public health doctor in Breslau, in the Liegnitz district and, after the war, in Upper Franconia . In 1947 she was in Ingolstadt associate in the practice of her husband Dr. Horst Hamann, whom she married in Breslau in 1941. In addition, she was a representative in several general practices, worked in the school and vaccination medical service at the Ingolstadt health department and was a doctor at the Bavarian Red Cross for many years . Hamann, who joined the SPD in 1969, represented it in the Ingolstadt city council from 1972 and in the Bavarian state parliament from 1974 to 1978 .
