Mathías Rolero , full name Mathías Gaston Rolero Amaral (born September 10, 1988 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

The 1.84-meter-tall goalkeeper, called Mato , was in ranks of the Montevidean club Basáñez from 2004 to 2007 . He has played for the Uruguayan first division club Cerro since the Apertura 2008 . There he and his teammates finished third in the Primera División in the first season and qualified for participation in the Copa Libertadores by winning the Copa Artigas 2009 . It was used four times in this international competition. In the Torneo Clausura 2010, his club secured the runner-up. From the 2009/10 season, 101 league games and five appearances in the Liguilla Pre Libertadores 2009 were recorded for Rolero (season data 2009/10: 22 (0); 2010/11: 25 (0); 2011/12: 27 (0); 2012/13: 27 (0)). He then joined the Blooming Club in Bolivia in 2013 , for which he played two games in the LFPB . During the 2013/14 season he moved to CD Marathón in Honduras , where he guarded the goal in ten league matches. From August 2014 he continued his career in the Uruguayan Segunda División at Central Español . With the Montevideans he was used in 28 second division games in the 2014/15 season. In August 2015 he then moved to the first division club Centro Atlético Fénix . There he did not get beyond the role of substitute goalkeeper in the 2015/16 season and did not play a competitive game. The Racing Club de Montevideo has been his employer since mid-July 2016 . In the 2016 season he did not get beyond the role of the substitute goalkeeper and was not used in the league as well as in the 2017 season. In July 2017, the first division club Sud América signed him .

National team

Rolero took part in the 2005 U-17 World Cup with the Uruguayan U-17 soccer team. However, he was not used in the tournament.

Others

In the 2011/2012 season he was charged by the Uruguayan judiciary with a total of ten other professional footballers for involvement in a fight on the occasion of the first division match between the clubs Cerro Largo FC and Club Atlético Cerro on May 6, 2012 . These were Pablo Bentancur , César Faletti , Andrés Ravecca , Marcos Otegui , Gonzalo Viera , Gustavo Varela , Óscar Morales , Marcel Román , Emiliano García and Carlos Figueredo .
