Gonzalo Viera , full name Gonzalo Viera Davyt (born February 8, 1987 in Paysandú ) is a Uruguayan football player .

The 1.85 meter tall defensive player Viera, for whom the previous stations Nacional Montevideo (2002 to 2003), El Tanque Sisley (2003) and Salto (2004) are listed, belonged to the Rampla Juniors in 2006 in the Clausura . There he made his debut on August 19, 2006 and played a total of eleven games, in which he ran three times in the starting line-up. He was in the Apertura 2007 in the first division defensors . Two starting eleven with a total of 147 minutes of playing time are recorded for him. From there he moved to the then second division club Plaza Colonia , for which he was active in 2008. Since the Clausura 2009 he has been led in the ranks of Miramar Misiones in the Segunda División . With the Montevideans he rose to the Primera División for the 2010/11 season . He played his first first division game for Miramar Misiones on August 28, 2010. In the entire first division season he played 25 games until his last appearance on June 3, 2012, scored one goal and received three red cards. He was then under contract with Cerro Largo FC in the 2011/12 season . There are also 25 missions - this time without a goal of their own - for Viera. During his time at Cerro Largo FC, he was charged by the Uruguayan judiciary with a total of ten other professional footballers for involvement in a brawl on the occasion of the first division match between the clubs Cerro Largo FC and Club Atlético Cerro in July 2012. These were Pablo Bentancur , Andrés Ravecca , Mathías Rolero , Marcos Otegui , Gustavo Varela , César Faletti , Óscar Morales , Marcel Román , Emiliano García and Carlos Figueredo . In the current season 2015/16 he played in three games in the Primera Division and scored one goal until his last appearance on August 30, 2015. Subsequently, in early September 2015, his move to the Qatari club Al Rayyan , trained by Jorge Fossati , was announced. So far (as of July 15, 2017) he has played 47 league games and scored three goals. He was also used six times (one goal) in the AFC Champions League.
