Elisabeth Pfeiler (* 1961 in Bad Leonfelden , Upper Austria as Elisabeth Presenhuber ) is an Austrian choir director , musician and conductor .

Life

After graduating from the upper level high school in Bad Leonfelden, she studied music at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz, in particular instrumental and vocal pedagogy, and further studies in the main subjects of flute , bassoon and piano . She worked as a teacher at the State Music School Freistadt for the subjects of flute, ensemble playing and theory as well as a main subject teacher in the training of choir leaders at the State Music School Freistadt.

In 1989 she founded the amateur choir Leonfeldner Kantorei , which she directed until 2008 and with which she undertook concert tours to Namibia , Brazil , Mexico , the Federal Republic of Germany , the USA , South Africa and Cuba .

In 2005 she was awarded the Bronze Medal of Honor of the City of Bad Leonfelden for her fifteen years as choirmaster of the Leonfeldner Kantorei . In addition to the Leonfeldner Kantorei, she led the Freistadt choir community (1999 to 2001; 2007 to 2008). On the CD production The Pyromanic Symphony of the Leonfeldner Kantorei with Lanvall (Arne Stockhammer) she also appeared as an instrumentalist on the flute. She also worked as a juror at the Prima la musica competition for young talent .
