The Leonfeldner Kantorei is an Austrian amateur choir . He wants to perform demanding a cappella literature as well as folk songs from closer homeland, some of which have only been passed down orally. He also endeavors to perform cantatas, masses and oratorios together with larger orchestras. He is also particularly interested in the interpretation of works from the 20th and 21st centuries, especially by Upper Austrian composers.

history

The Leonfeldner Kantorei was founded in 1989 by Elisabeth Pfeiler . She has received invitations to the Brucknerhaus in Linz and to concerts as part of the “Musica sacra” series in Linz. In addition, the choir participated in concert recordings and television recordings by the Austrian radio.
