Elisabeth Schachinger

Elisabeth Schachinger , born Manz (born June 9, 1909 in Ellwangen ; † 1998 ), was a German painter, illustrator and metal designer.

After training in music, she attended the Academy of Applied Arts in Munich from 1933 to 1936 , where she was a student of Fritz Skell and Richard Klein , among others . She was also supported by Bernhard Bleeker . Her work mainly includes pictures in metalwork made of brass, copper and silver. In 1954 she had a special exhibition in the municipal traffic office in Ellwangen.

She was married to the painter Walter Schachinger (1883–1962). Their daughter Rosemarie (* 1935) is a ceramist and painter.
