Elisabeth Therese of Lorraine (born October 15, 1711 in Lunéville , † July 3, 1741 in Turin ) was Queen of Sardinia by marriage.

She was born the eleventh of a total of thirteen children to Duke Leopold of Lorraine and his wife Elisabeth Charlotte of Orléans . By the time you were born, eight of the ten siblings had died; so she grew up with three brothers and only one younger sister. One of her older brothers was Emperor Franz I Stephan (he was only elected Emperor four years after her death), so she was a sister-in-law of Maria Theresa of Austria .

In 1737 she was with King Karl Emanuel III. of Sardinia, who was already a widower twice and father of four children.

The couple had the following three children together:

  • Carlo Francesco (December 1, 1738 - March 25, 1745), Duke of Aosta
  • Maria Vittoria (June 22, 1740 - July 14, 1742), Princess of Savoy
  • Benedetto Maurizio (born June 21, 1741 - † January 4, 1808), Duke of Chablais

Queen Elisabeth Therese died in 1741 at the age of 29 shortly after the birth of her youngest son. She was first buried in the Turin Cathedral of S. Giovanni Battista and transferred to the Basilica di Superga in 1786 .
