Elisabeth Wäger-Häusle

Elisabeth Wäger-Häusle (born October 9, 1942 in Rankweil , Vorarlberg ; † January 2, 2019 in Vienna ) was an Austrian writer and dramaturge .

Life

The trained laboratory technician spent many years abroad and worked in export. She began writing while she was in middle school and continued to do so after she got married in 1967. She later moved to Vienna and worked as a dramaturge at the Wiener Festwochen. She wrote novels such as Anna's Houses (1978) and stories such as Hardening of the Puppet Skin ( 1983), as well as poetry, for example the dialect poem cycle I dr mitti s'salz (2008). She also wrote several dramatic works such as Mango Einautomatischer Frauenroman (2001) for the Volkstheater Wien, as well as numerous radio plays .
