The residential building at Elisabethstrasse 12 in Düsseldorf-Unterbilk was built in the neo-Gothic style in 1897–1898 by the architect Ernst Roeting . It stands on the east side of Elisabethstraße , its street facade is opposite the Kaiserteich .

It was expanded in an adapted form in 1907, but greatly changed after the Second World War with an addition . Despite the change, it is a listed building .

description

On the left is the entrance with a skylight shaped as a lancet triple window . In the original state before the expansion , the facade was divided into three axes , the right side axis was taken up by a bay window with a balcony above . Above it rose a gable with a steep hip roof.

The utility rooms in the basement were connected to the dining room on the ground floor by a sideboard . The side rooms are grouped around a small atrium through all floors. As a result, the street and garden fronts could only be used for living spaces.

According to a contemporary source, the house was particularly richly decorated due to the financial strength of the client.
