Elizabeth Guiney (born February 7, 1991 ) is an American cross-country skier .

Career

Guiney started in West Yellowstone for the first time in November 2007 in the US Super Tour and came in 39th place over 8 km classic. At the U23 World Championships in 2013 in Liberec , she achieved 42nd place over 10 km freestyle and 36th place in sprint. The following year she came in at the U23 World Championships in 2014 in Fiemme Valley on the 41st place in the skiathlon and on the 39th place in the sprint. In the 2014/15 season she reached seven top ten placements in the US Super Tour, including third place in the sprint in Houghton and second place in the sprint in Craftsbury and thus finished seventh overall at the end of the season. The following season she finished in the top ten eight times on the US Super Tour. She achieved second place over 10 km classic in Craftsbury and at the end of the season she took sixth place in the overall standings. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season she clinched her first victory in the US Super Tour classic over 10 km in West Yellowstone and finished second in the sprint at the Nor-Am-Cup in Vernon . In January 2017 she made her debut in Ulricehamn in the cross-country skiing world cup , finishing 52nd in the 10 km freestyle and 12th place with the relay. The following month, she got her first World Cup points in Pyeongchang with 24th place in the sprint and 13th place in the skiathlon. At the World Cup final in Québec , she achieved 53rd place and at the end of the season she reached 80th place in the overall World Cup and tenth place in the overall ranking of the US Supertour.
